Please note that the notice does not contain pollution problems caused by friction, joints, poor release paper peeling, dust and oil.
The surface contamination of reflective materials often occurs during garment assembly and storage in hot and humid environment. Any exposed silver gray reflective material surface is likely to be polluted. 3M's test results show that the pollution is caused by the corrosion of aluminum coating between glass beads. However, these pollution only causes the decline of the appearance of the clothing surface, because the aluminum coating on the back of the glass bead is not corroded, so the reflective performance is not affected.
This kind of pollution often occurs in the following two situations: when in the process of processing, the pollutants contact with the surface of reflective materials; and the ready-made clothes are continuously stored under high temperature and high humidity conditions. Possible sources of pollution include:
1) sweat, salt water or other chlorinated compounds
2) strong acid or strong corrosive solution (strong acid is easy or strong alkali solution)
